Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, is a city in southern Baden-Württemberg, which lies about 50 km east of the state capital Stuttgart. Schwäbisch Gmünd is the second largest city in the Ostalbkreis and the whole region of East Wuerttemberg and since 1973 the seat of the corresponding regional association in terms of population size to Aalen.
